Paint correction is an imperative process in any ceramic pro paint protection service. Before any ceramic pro products are applied it is imperative that the paint looks good. That’s where paint correction comes in. Paint correction is a process of abrasive compounds, clay bar and polishing that removes scratching, swirling, marring and oxidation. At Time 2 Shine we do as much as possible to remove all existing imperfections from the surface of the coat before any Ceramic Pro is applied. At our shop we offer stage 1 and stage 2 paint correction services.
Stage 1
Stage 1 paint correction services is the entry level of paint correction. For most Japanese cars and vehicles that posses softer paints, we can generally remove anywhere between half and two thirds of existing imperfections. For vehicles that have harder paints, we are able to remove anywhere between one third and one half of existing imperfections. We encourage vehicles that have minimal imperfections towards the stage 1, but if a vehicle has a higher severity of damage we encourage higher levels of paint correction.
Stage 2
The Stage 2 paint correction provides a higher level of imperfection removal. With services that are able to remove between 80 and 90 percent of imperfections from many vehicles, this is the ideal service for most vehicles that have extensive damage.
